The University of Sydney yesterday conferred honorary doctorates on Donald Horne and Edmund Campion. Professor Horne is well known for his 1964 analysis of Australia, The Lucky Country. He was Chancellor of the University of Canberra from 1992 to 1995. Professor Campion, author of 1981's Rockchoppers: Growing up Catholic in Australia, served as chairman of the Literature Fund of the Australia Council from 1995 to 1998.
